You may have experienced a situation where the design on a supermarket shopping bags peels off with your nails and the logo on the takeaway bag gets smudged after a few swipes. But some plastic bags, no matter how you knead, knead or even throw them in the washing machine, the pattern is still intact. The root of the problem: plastic bags themselves "repel" ink.
Plastic bags are mainly made of PP (polypropylene) and PE (polyethylene), both nonpolar polymers with a surface energy of only 30 to 34 million tons per meter. Adding to the remaining mold release agents, fingerprints and dust from the production process is like adding another layer of isolation film to the surface, which inevitably results in poor adhesion.

Corona treatment is the most mainstream solution. High-voltage discharge in the film surface to form a micropore structure, surface energy from 30 to more than 40, so that ink can be immediately attached. Plasma treatment is more aggressive, using plasma to bombard surfaces and form polar groups, resulting in 30% stronger adhesion than corona treatment, especially for irregularly shaped bags and bottle caps. Flame treatment depends on high-temperature oxidation to improve surface polarity, good results, but complex operation. There is a simpler method-coating the primer, creating a "molecular bridge" between the film and the ink, filling pores and creating a smooth transition layer. The silane coupling agent in the adhesion promoter is directly crosslinked with the acrylate in ink and can easily pass adhesion test.

The unwinding section achieves constant tension by diameter calculation and tension sensor feedback, and the printed section maintains accuracy by floating roller detection and PID adjustment. Combining a constant temperature and humidity workshop of 22-25°C and 50-60% humidity, the film does not stretch or wrinkle, ensuring accurate coloring of each color placement.
Fourth cutting-edge technology: water-based ink plus ceramic anilox rollers-environmentally durable.
The four-color flexographic printing press is fully compatible with water-based inks, achieves zero VOC emissions and meets food contact material standards. Ceramic anilox rollers replaces traditional chrome-plated roller and has high hardness and abrasion resistance. The anilox rollers achieves a 60-degree hexagonal engraving accuracy, ensures uniform ink transfer and controllable ink layer distribution. Ink is precisely transferred from the battery to a flexographic printing plate and then printed onto a plastic bag. Each dot is precisely "planted" on the surface, making it impossible to wipe, pick or clean.
The patterns on plastic bags cannot be erased because of a single process, but because of simultaneous tightening in four key areas: surface pretreatment, ink adhesion management, tension control and material compatibility.
